A ferry trip is a must for Alaska travelers (according to Stephen), so it had to be the Gulf ... (of Alaska, what else!). Away we went, from Dawson City to Skagway. It was busy in Dawson City when busloads of tourists were romaning the streets in search for the perfect gift. Nothing compared to Skagway though, where two Titanic size shiploads of tourists were spilled out! 

Eine Faehrfahrt sollte jeder in Alaska (laut Stephen) einmal unternehmen, fuer ihn war es der Golf ... (von Alaska, was sonst!). Also auf ging's, von Dawson City nach Skagway. In Dawson City ging es schon turbulent zu, Busladungen von Touristen stroemten durch die Strassen. In Skagway waren es Schiffsladungen! Und glaubt mir, ich uebertreibe nicht, wenn ich euch sage, wir hatten es mit zwei Titanic-Ladungen zu tun.

Never ever in my life have I seen so many jewelry stores in one single street, approximately 20 jewelry stores each side of the street.
Too bad, I do not like to wear jewelry. Good for Stephen though!

Noch nie in meinem Leben habe ich soviele Schmuckgeschaefte in einer einzigen Einkaufsstrasse gesehen! Grobe Schaetzung: 20 Juweliere auf jeder Strassenseite.
Zu dumm, dass ich keinen Schmuck trage. Da hat Stephen nochmal Glueck gehabt!
