Ferry ride / Faehrfahrt

As you can see, the RV Park was close to the ferry port.
Wie ihr seht, war's von unserem Campingplatz nicht weit zur Faehre, die uns nach Haines gebracht hat.

During the journey we felt sad because we realized that we had to say goodbye to Alaska soon.
Die Schiffsfahrt auf dem Pacifischen Ozean stimmte uns beide wehmuetig, da wir uns von Alaska nun bald verabschieden muessen.

P.S. 6 weeks are a long time, you would think?! But they are not. Stephen thought it might be best to stop numbering and counting days, maybe it prolongs the vacation. Good idea!
P.S. 6 Wochen sind eine lange Zeit, oder auch nicht!? Stephen meinte, ich sollte mit dem Tagezaehlen aufhoeren. Gute Idee!
